Sandtown's TeleSchool Plan Q & A 1. Did Teleschool-Extended Digitial Learning- begin today? Teleschool officially begins for Sandtown's scholars on Tuesday, March 17. Today was a SLC Release Day. Scholars did receive practice ELA assignments to ensure engagement in learning was possible-but the work was provided as a general practice. However, formal assignments for Teleschool begin tomorrow on Tuesday, March 17. Parents-please plan for your scholar to engage in meaningful work on tomorrow, with limited interruptions (cell phones or any other any distractions); create an environment free of distractions where each scholar can focus. 2. How does my scholar access their work assignments? Work assignments are categorized by the day. Each content has a specific day of learning. This does not indicate that a scholar cannot work on other content areas, however, core teachers and connection teachers have a specified content day. It is our goal not to overwhelm our scholars, but ensure they remain engaged in learning in a structured manner. All assignment links are located in the Jaguar Weekly Reminders by the day and the content. Each day will have an active link associated with it. Review the sample screenshot.
Wednesday: Connections (A Day and B Day)
Friday: Social Studies
Proximity Learning will continue to meet daily for assigned courses

3. What do I do if I have questions? Teleschool-Extended Digital Learning-will take place each day. Teachers are available each day via email and will respond in an expeditious manner. Teachers will also attend virtual professional learning meetings and will engage in planning. If they are not readily available, please note that a response is forthcoming. You may reach out to your scholar(s) teacher at any time for clarity. Grade level administrators are also available for support. If you need support with navigation, resources, or Teleschool support, please contact the Remote School Helpline: assistance questions, such as resetting a password or finding a student ID number. The hotline is open 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. during the regular school week, Monday through Friday. Frequently asked questions are posted to the Remote Learning website: www.fultonschools.org/RemoteLearning For non-instructional related matters, please contact Meredith North or Sandra Mack. Our goal is to ensure this process is seamless, and we are working diligently to ensure ease of access to course materials and resources. 4. What are the teacher's work hours? Teachers begin their workday at 9:00 a.m., and will conclude their workday at 4:00 p.m. The times are aligned to our normal structure. We are looking forward to serving you and our scholars! 5. My scholar does not have internet connectivity? Comcast Essentials is offering a great opportunity to our families without internet service. Please review the flyers below.
