Learning Target: Problems with inequality problems will be introduced today. the same Learning targets with multiple problems will be dealt this week. MGSE7.EE.4b Solve word problems leading to inequalities of the form px + q > r or px + q < r, where p, q, and r are specific rational numbers. Graph the solution set of the inequality and interpret it in the context of the problem.
Tuesday, Oct 29:
Same lesson will continue with more practices of problems
Wednesday, Oct 30 Students are advised to go on Illuminate to practice various Problems related to this learning target. Practice questions like: How to solve an Inequality problem, How to represent solutions on a number line. Select suitable answers when an inequality is given. Create mathematical Inequality statements from real world situations and word problems.
Review for End of Unit 2
Thursday, Oct 31 : Review for End of Unit 2 will continue
Friday, Nov 1, 2019 Unit-2 SE7.EE (Expressions & Equations) Post Unit test will be conducted
I have noticed many of my scholars accessed to the i-Ready for Mathematics practices on my Math assignments. This is a positive attitude towards focused learning!
Those who fell short of the desired pass grades were the ones who did not take advantage of this facilities on digital learning. Active participation in the i-Ready or Illuminate enhance their focused learning.
I did collect information of each of my scholars participation history of their Math learning activity and documented it in their respective folders for your kind reference.
Please note that their active participation in learning (In Class attendance and attentiveness, i-Ready , Illuminate ) will help to get their credit recovery directly or indirectly.
It is not my practice to provide free grades to any of my scholars. They need to earn their grades by successfully take part in the assigned works: such as Home works, Quiz and class tests. If they fail to miss any of these activities, that would result in short of their desired grades.
The participation history will tell me how much time duration they focused and spent on learning and with their assigned works. The history of their Computer access on i-Ready and/or Illuminate (are all documented with duration of time) is kept for your kind references
Kindly advise them to be serious with the post unit Test to be held this Friday as this is a summative assessment and this will will carry more wait in their grade book. Those who got less grade in the Unit-1 Post Test may get a chance to improve their grade if they take seriously this one.
Should anyone (Parent/Guardian) wish to meet me to discuss about scholar under your care kindly schedule an appointment with me in advance. My email address as follows: email@example.com

WEEKLY UPDATE FOR OCTOBER 14th.
Tuesday ( Oct 15)Learning Target MGSE7.EE.4.c: Solve mathematical problems by writing and solving equations of the form: x + p = q and px+ q=r for cases in which p,q andr arerational numbers. Scholars are expected to complete minimum 2 Work sheets focused on the above Learning Target
Wednesday ( Oct 16) Learning Target : MGSE7.EE.4.c:Solve mathematical problems by writing and solving equations of the form x + p = q and px = q for cases in which p and q are rational number More practice problems will be dealt based on the Learning target of Tuesday and Wednesday Practice Solving 1-Step Equations
Thursday ( Oct 17 ) Learning Target: MGSE7.EE.4.a. Solve real world problems by writing and solving equations of the form px + q = r andp(x + q)= r where p, q and r, are specific rational numbers. Solve equations of these forms fluently. Compare an algebraic solution to an arithmetic solution, identifying sequence of the operations used in each approach. For example, the perimeter of a rectangle is 54 cm. Its length is 6 cm. What is its width?
Focus on Solving step-1 Equations
Quiz: 5 Questions: Combine like terms and Simplify expressions, Evaluate expressions, Solve 1 Step Equations
Friday ( Oct 18 ) Continue to re-inforce MGSE7.EE4 a with more problems. Introduce more problems of 2-Steps Equations
Class Test :5 - 10 Questions consist of : Formation of expressions or Equations from word problems, Combine like terms and Simplify expressions, Evaluate expressions, Solve 1-Step Equations

To all Parents: Kindly advise your son/daughter to bring his/her class note books to write Notes and class work systematically for later references and study. A new class room seating chart is in place and the chart is displayed on the wall for each class period. Students have to comply with the seating chart to avoid further disruptions in class. Class rules too displayed on the wall in order to have better learning environment.
Kindly advise your son not to join with any group of students who deliberately wants to disrupt the normal learning time. I noticed that few students are engaged with accessing on devises that distract their learning time. They are not only focused on their own learning but deliberately distracting others too. Here after no one would be allowed to keep their devises with them unless I allow them to use it for learning purpose or Assignments / Assessments on line. They should keep their devises on the table provided for them (and may put for charging).
Kindly advise your child to keep the following rules:
CLASS ROOM RULES
1BE IN SEAT WHEN BELL RINGS 2KEEP CELL PHONE /EAR PHONES IN YOUR LOCKER/BAG 3ELECTRONIC DEVISES /COMPUTER SHOULD NOT BE ABUSED TO DISTRACT YOUR LEARNING DURING THE LESSON TIMES. 4BE ON TASK DURING WORK TIME 5RAISE HAND / WAIT FOR PERMISSION BEFORE YOU TALK 6ONLY ONE PERSON TALK AT A TIME WHILE OTHERS LISTEN 7MAKE ONLY POSITIVE COMMENTS IN CLASS 8TRANSITION QUICKLY AND QUIETL
